bringing music to life
Your Professional Choir
The Music Team
Led by our creative Musical Director Matthew Nash and our talented Accompanists, Jane Coles and Diane Wright, all professional musicians, our choir of some 50 strong accomplished choristers deliver a sound that is uplifting, rich and full with four-part harmonies stretching upwards from the bottom basses to the top tenors. Our repertoire is both varied and extensive with songs suitable for every occasion. It includes well-loved traditional Welsh hymns, with favourites selected from the world of opera and musical theatre, spiritual and gospel music and love songs with some stunning new arrangements of popular current chart hits. Just to add … our choristers have gained more than a smattering of Spanish, French and Italian enabling them to perform a select number of songs to perfection!
We’d love to perform for you so please do take a look at our repertoire and some of the great reviews received from our happy clients.

Matthew is the professional public face of the choir. He provides inspirational leadership and motivation for the music team and choristers and has an outstanding talent for musical detail and exceptional conducting, choir training and vocal coaching skills and is responsible for selecting appropriate musical pieces to ensure that our choir is fully prepared, confident and able to deliver exceptional performances for our audiences.
Matthew studied music at the University of Bristol, where he majored in performance and composition, and was an assistant tutor to Dr Glyn Jenkins, teaching harmony to undergraduates. Whilst at the University, Matthew received piano tuition from International concert pianist Raymond Clarke, and has performed at The Barbican, London. Matthew graduated from the University with two music degrees, BA, Hons (First Class) and MA (Distinction).
Matthew is also an accompanist, who played piano for Llanharan RFC Songsters, Cowbridge Male Voice Choir, Bristol Cabot Choir and the University of Bristol Choral Society. Matthew has also accompanied for Nigel Perrin (The Kings Singers). Matthew also teaches piano at home and offers vocal tuition.
Matthew also writes music – his compositions and arrangements have been performed in various venues across the UK. Significant compositions include a commission for Piano, Violin and Clarinet Trio for the professional ensemble Gemini, and two large scale works for Orchestra and Chorus one of which – Nightingales – received its UK premiere in 2018.
Matthew took on the role of Musical Director for Llantrisant Male Choir in March 2013. As the present conductor, Matthew enjoys the challenge of taking the choir from strength to strength, performing at various functions across the UK, and writing modern arrangements to keep the choir fresh, current and relevant.

Her reputation as an event pianist with a wide and varied repertoire of popular music keeps Jane in high demand for concert performances, wedding ceremonies and a variety of other special occasions and functions.
Jane’s music studies included a piano scholarship at the Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff and a Graduate Diploma in Jazz, Popular and Commercial Music at Newcastle College.

Following her piano and teaching diplomas (ALCM), Diane graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a BMus (performance), with joint first study piano and voice and developed a thriving career as a pianist and Musical Director in and around Aberdeen and Scotland, in both choral and Musical Theatre circuits.
Whilst at University she studied arranging and composition with Paul Mealor and conducted the award-winning Aberdeen Gaelic Choir for three years at international competitions and on BBC television. Conducting them to victory at the Royal National Mod in three consecutive years Diane was awarded the An Comunn Gaidhealach Centenary Baton for her conducting on all three occasions. “Llantrisant Male Voice Choir have given me the most wonderful performing opportunities over the last few years. I left school wishing to pursue a career in Musical Theatre but felt I was not ready to audition for London drama schools. I needed some more solo experience as a singer to boost my confidence and this is where the choir helped me.
I have sung in numerous concerts with the choir including the Crecy concert in Llantrisant along with concerts in Dinas Powys and most recently at the Bethel Baptist Church, Pontyclun. These experiences helped me to grow enormously as a singer and the following year I went on to study a degree in Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London.
Llantrisant Male Voice Choir have been so supportive of my career and I am so grateful to them for allowing me to be a part of their musical family”
Thank you all,
